idea using mesh models en Revit Ideas

We get mesh models from point clouds and drones photogrammetery. They work pretty well in any modeler EXCEPT Revit. Meshlab is superior to Revit and its free. Its been nearly 20 years!!! Please recognize we need to import meshes and make Revit more useable. Allow for importing .ply, .obj, .max - among other file types.

DXF is awful - it is huge and takes FOREVER to load.

None of the current import options bring in texture data.

Working with a point cloud derived mesh at the moment and it is horrendous. I can't do anything with it in Revit or Dynamo. Constant crashes, loading alone has costed me hours in the past two days, and once it does the lag is unbearable. Throw it in Meshlab or 3DS Max and it takes a few seconds to load and I can spin around it and run all sorts of operations no problem.
