idea Demolish shared nested components en Revit Ideas

For obvious reasons, we nest certain elements into a window family. A window sill, window soldier course, etc.

That way we can update families faster than when placing separate families.

For a renovation project, I encountered the following problem. All window frames had to be replaced, but the soldier course above it should stay. It is not possible to demolish nested shared components.

Sometimes it is desired to demolish parts of a family, not the family as a whole.

Is needed the ability to demolish not shared components too. Not every nested family is shared, a lot of them are not.

Hi @germanperales, thanks for your comment. Maybe you are right, but shared components are designed as a family within a family, therefore you can tag them, schedule them, select them when tabbing, etc. For me it makes sense that you also can treat them as a family when phasing families.

For unshared, it might be a good addition, but maybe less necessary.
