idea Make Revit Draw like Auto Cad MEP (Isometrically) en Revit Ideas

We as Detailers understand there hasn't been a demand for Revit to draw Like AutoCad MEP since this application is primarily used by Engineers and Architects. They attempt at drawing a constructible design. The contract drawings we receive from Engineers are sub-par at their career best. We as detailers then have to re-design and redraw the entire system behind schedule and have the Engineer/Architect stamp it.

Unfortunately REVIT needs to think Isometrically and embrace the Isometric realm.

(Isometric projection is a method for visually representing three-dimensional objects in two dimensions in technical and engineering drawings. It is an axonometric projection in which the three coordinate axes appear equally foreshortened and the angle between any two of them is 120 degrees.)

We see the benefits Revit offers on the back end however it is significantly lacking what Auto Cad MEP can do when it comes to detailing the precision work required with Mechanical Piping, Plumbing and Electrical.

Also, the dimensions are garbage.

Clean it up guys.

Thanks

Make it a Great Day

Plant3d and Revit does not interoperate in a good level. There is no way to export to IFC file between those two softwares, so I created this idea:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-plant-3d-p-id-ideas/plant-3d-and-revit-integration-via-ifc-files-and-bim360/idi-p/9206865

Vote for it.

There is a way to use PCF file format to export/import from and to Revit. Is not that easy but maybe will help you.

https://blogs.autodesk.com/revit/2017/07/26/exporting-pcf-files-from-revit/#comments-section

https://blogs.autodesk.com/revit/2017/07/27/exporting-pcf-files-from-revit-2018-part-2-assemblies/

I also posted an Idea to make this PCF export/import more easy.

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/make-isometric-piping-more-easy-with-pcf-file-export/idi-p/9622561

Vote for it.
