Why we are not able to cut a wall to change its end to 45 degrees on plan view.

I've tried Cut Geometry/Join / attach with a Reference plane but that doesn't work as it works only in Elevation view.

" The Reason for this purpose for example that the perpendicular wall exist in another linked file "

p.s. I know a workaround by using Model in place > Solid void > Extrusion > Make a rectangle > Extrusion properties > Extrusion end: same height of wall > Finish extrusion > Select the void > Rotate it 45 degrees as needed, and/or stretch it as needed. > Modify > Cut geometry > select the wall, then select the void > Finish model in place.

BUT ,we really need it in a direct way without a workaround.

We've used 2 way in a big project in 2011 where no wall had perpendicular ends
(without using the cursed inplace voids) :

vertical wall reveals

doors of the same height as the wall

a two level based GM family would now also do the job in even a BIMer way !
