idea Allow user to dimension specific objects only en Revit Ideas

When placing dimensions on walls, its far to easy to accidentally attach the dimension to a window or door thats hosted in the wall instead of the wall itself.

This means that if the window / door is moved or deleted the dimension will be moved or deleted too.

It would be useful to have a drop down box which allows the user to select the types of objects they want to dimension.

This way, the user could select 'Walls' and Revit would only place the dimensions on a wall, ignoring any window / door / sweep etc the way may have.

This issue causes dimensions to move or disappear and is especially problematic when dimensioning walls within a linked model.
