idea MEP Modeling Lock for Vertical Z Plane while in 3D views en Revit Ideas

Horizontal Lock works well with holding down Shift and aim in the desired X, Y, direction but there is nothing that I am aware of to allow locking in the Z plane to go up or down while in a modeling command for duct or pipe. I am aware of Offset adjustments but I want an easier modeling experience in a 3D view. Modeling in 3D view is encouraged in our organization with all elements from every discipline visible to avoid clashing. Anything that makes it easier to accomplish this would be outstanding. The screen shot I included states that Shift will force Horizontal and Vertical, but I don't find this to be true in 3D views.

Screencast Example

Can we get an option to hold down the Z button (or Shift + Z) to lock in this direction?
