idea copying a Section should keep the Template setting en Revit Ideas

A common workflow is to cut a section (in plan), open it, adjust the Crop, then go back to plan and copy it along the same wall to show conditions at window, door, continuous wall, etc. The problem is that the copies loose the Template setting (goes to <None>) and they don't even use the template as the "starting" point. It doesn't make sense that a "copy" doesn't have the same settings.

I fully agree. Had the same thing latest projects. I had a small project where I had to create approx 900 sections to rebar my project AND copying was a common practice.

I think this changed, my last project was in 2020. Now in Revit 2023 the section view settings don't carry over to the new view when i copy a section view.
