idea Allow the Glazed "Window" Panel for Curtain Walls to attach to sloped elements en Revit Ideas

There are four system panels for curtain walls: Empty, Glazed, Solid, and Glazed window.

I assume the last one was made so that folks don't have to fudge their schedules and can have curtain wall elements show up in a window schedule. This I appreciate.

However, this panel does not behave as flexibly as the panel does when it comes to attaching itself to sloped roofs. It would be great if we can schedule odd-shaped panels in the window schedule.

Thanks.

Where have you found 4 system panels? I only seem to be able to find 3: Solid, glazed and Empty.

Can't seems to find it online either and I've tried different template files.

@Kimtaurus In the later revisions of Revit (I am not sure which version), a new template was created for a "Window - Curtain Wall".

If this does not show up in your template library, it is simple to create your own.

Change the category of a family so that it reports to the schedule you want it to. From the family environment of the basic curtain panel family, you can go to "family category and parameters button" located on the properties palette of the "Create" ribbon, and change the category of the family.

You will notice that this menu is limited to the intended behavior of the family, for example, the curtain panel family can only be changed to either a window or a door, because those are the only elements that can exist inside a curtain wall grid.
