topic Tool Offsets and Tool Change in Fusion Manufacture

My friend and I are trying out fusion 360. Our tool change and tool offsets are currently handled by an m6 macro in Mach 3. We are using CamBam to generate the gcode. My friend said that there is a G43 in the code from Fusion 360. Does fusion 360 handle the tool offsets and tool change? We are both using benchtop mills with manual tool change. Do we just need to disable the tool macro in Mach 3 and fusion 360 will take care of the tool offsets and tool change?

Hi Craig,

I replied to your post yesterday, but it seems to have disappeared. I'm also using a benchtop mill with manual tool changes. I've been using SheetCAM for the last couple years. I use the Mach Standard Mill screenset which has functions to measure TLO on the machine. Personally, I think it's easier to let MSM measure and store the TLOs than to have to measure them and put them into Fusion.

I requested an updated Mach3 post and Autodesk jumped on it immediately. This post inserts the G43 Hxx command right after the M6 Tx command. It does not allow a Z command on the same line as the G43 and it turns off the spindle before the G28 moves at the end of the program.

http://www.hsmworks.com/files/post-request/download/post/?key=9103608deb0708085459ec9233631bad

Good luck,

Chris
