topic Adaptive clearing ignoring bottom threaded tab and I can't figure out why in Fusion Manufacture

Hey all,

Trying to program a mill job and getting stuck on OP1. Trying to clear stock away and leave myself with the model shape so I can drill, tap, and then flip and finish this bracket. For whatever reason, Adaptive Clearing is ignoring the bottom threaded tab and trying to mill through it, and I can't for the life of me figure out why that is. I have attached the file in case anyone can take a look and let me know what easy thing I'm missing. I can figure out the pocket, but trying to get the right selections to clear the rest of the stock away so I can flip it and re-set it in the vise.

Thanks!

It is your use of face selections thats causing the problem.

You can get a result by using a pocket and chain selection and setting the bottom height, but is not very nice.

You would be much better to use 3D Adaptive with the bottom height selected as so:

This gives a much better result.(I would get rid of the 2d adaptive, I have left it in the file so you can see how I did it)

see attached file
