Hi - appreciate responses in advance. I have a large job of some enclosures, they have tabbed features which breakup the walls (I have created a simplified model to demonstrate). Typically I would contour the walls and in the case of the tabbed feature use a sketch to provide a path that avoids the tab, then go in and use parallel and a ball nose to clean up around the tab.

But is there a better strategy to do this that I don't know about ?

Would you be so kind as to toss a few sample toolpaths on your file and share it here? I'm trying to wrap my head around the approach you are talking about, but without the file and some toolpaths to refer to, I'm not quite sure what your current approach would be like.

File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply
