HIDE LINES

When one duct crosses over another, how do you get the drawing to show hide lines, showing what duct is above and below? Thanks

I a layout tab use shadeplot hidden/legacy hidden play around with that. then there is a checkmark in the plots dialog box the name of which Eludes me.

I typically have to overlapping viewports. One with the objects that I want to hide, and another with Autocad text and backgrounds etc that I do not want to hide. This will keep the hidden objects from wiping out your backgrounds.

Overlapping seems to be the best solutions I have seen so far. It gives the results I'm looking for. I thought it would be a lot of hassle but it really isn't. You just copy your finished paper space view port and turn off backgrounds in one and duct in another. I just though AutoDesk would have addressed this issue a long time ago seeing how a large amount of the purchasers and users are in construction.

Our field guys go by elevation tags and also use navis freedom to view our models.

Our field uses elevation tags too but at a glance its quicker for them to see dashed lines verses hunting the tags down. Its just what they are use to, and I have to conform.
