So I am pretty familiar with regular AutoCAD. I am getting to know the intricacies of Fabrication CADmep and I was seeing if you could help me out with a few questions I have.

I am trying to use the New design line function in the CADmep tool bar. It works great with square and round duct but when I try to put in a flat oval dimension the duct does not show up on screen. I have already tried to use the Fill in 3D” and also tried to Erase 3D items and then Fill in 3D still nothing.

Converting Revit 2017 into Fabrication CADmep 2018:

when I try to convert the model into cadmep it converts it into 2D. Any way to convert and hold the properties of walls, doors, ducts, pipes etc. (elevation, mounting height, offsets)?

I looked at a tutorial video on youtube and there was an option for Store design line elements. I do not see this option when I click on the Add-in tab. The guy on the video was using Revit 2015 and I am using Revit 2017, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Basically I am trying to convert Revit 2017 into Fabrication CADmep2018 and hold the properties of every element. Not sure if that is possible. I would really appreciate your help with this.

With respect,

J.D.
