topic CONVERT STEP FILE IN TO SHEET METAL in Inventor Programming - iLogic, Macros, AddIns & Apprentice

Hello,

I have a challenge. I am using Inventor 2016.

One of my customer gives me a complete assembly which consists of SheetMetal parts.

This assembly is created in Solidworks and customer sends me in STEP format or sometimes sends in Solidworks format.

So here it comes the problem.

I need to open every part from assembly and convert into sheetmetal.

Later convert into flat pattern and dxf formats, then manufacturing process starts.

This kills most of the time.

So, is there any possibility wherein I need to run some VBA code or ilogic rule, so that all parts convert into sheetmetal automatically.

One more important thing, assembly may contains different thickness of sheetmetal parts.

Please help me.
