topic Measure length of IV_Feature_Profiles Layer of the Flat Pattern through VBA in Inventor Programming - iLogic, Macros, AddIns & Apprentice

Hello,

I'm new to VBA, I am trying to make a script that will more accurately measure the tooling and time that is needed to create sheet metal parts. So far I have script that will measure external and internal perimeter, number and size of holes, number of pierces, and the bend count.

My next step is to separate the IV_Feature_Profiles layer that is created with the DXF and measure the total length. This layer is used for etching lines into the sheets. I was unable to find information regard how to do this, or even if it is a possiblity.

I have attached an example of a typical sheet that would have the etching lines on it. Each internal line is created with a split and are related back to the Feature_Profiles layer.

Any help that could be offered, would be greatly appreciated

Thanks
