The OTP which is asked to enter is a basic OTP required to login. This new update from AutoDESK to enhance the security for user's account. [Redacted]: I understand that from reading the forum post. I had this disabled previously. I come to login today and it has been magically turned on without autodesk confirming i can access the 2fa method first [Redacted]: OTP is a form of 2fa Tharun S: I understand that you must be facing issues while accessing the files in your old account. If the issue was related to you not receiving OTP on your old email I would have manually generated the OTP and shared it with you. since, the issue is related to lost access of email I request you to reach out the institute email provider or ask them to re-route the old email to new. [Redacted]: i can't, that's kind of the point of a student email address, it is only valid for the period of enrollment. I'm pretty sure i still have my student id card which i can upload alongside multiple other forms of photo id [Redacted]: I'll even take the photo with me in the picture if gets this issue solved Tharun S: I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you're facing. I completely understand your concern—losing access to important files can be very frustrating. Tharun S: Since this issue is not directly related to AutoDESK but rather to your lost email access, I recommend reaching out to your institute. You can request them to re-route or forward emails from your old address to your new one, which may help you regain access to your files. Student email addresses are specifically ringfenced, this is an autodesk issue. I did not activate OTP on MY account, i can prove my identity. I have my student id card associated with this account. I am an enrolled student so am still eligible for the student license, I'm not sure what the issue is here? OTP is much less secure than 3 seperate forms of photo ID. Tharun S: I would like to inform you that I can help you creating a new student account using [Redacted] through which you will be able to login to your new student AutoDESK account. But to get access of your old account you need to reach out to your old institute only. [Redacted]: I'm aware, and i will be creating one with my new student email, but autodesk is now holding my data hostage, i have the right under GDPR legislation to data that belongs to me and at the moment you are not allwoing me to provide proof of my identity.
