I created a simple 3D model of a cloth sack which I now need to UV map so it can be texturized later, the problem is, as soon as I click the Planar projection or any of the other options to create a projection from, the object deforms in a very strange way. I got a couple other variations of this cloth sack, but these ones won't deform like this particular one. Does anyone know what the reason for this could be? You can see the deformation in the second picture.

I actually exported the object out as an fbx and imported it into a new scene... this seemed to fix the problem, the object doesn't deform anymore. The original object still deforms though, not sure why. I deleted it and imported in place the fbx I had previously exported, the object seems fine now.
