copy animaitons from bones to others ?

Hi...

I have two characters rigged by "Skin" modifier

the first character has an animation , but the second hasn't

are there any way to copy the animation from the first character to the second ?

Note:

- the bones in both characters are not the same names and not the same sizes either

- I use 3dsmax 2014

thank you so much ...

Well you will need to have two clean rigs with the same naming conventions if you want to make your life easier. Select all the animated objects and use Save Animation to write out the animation data. Then select all the same objects in the new mesh and use Load Animation to load it in. Because your naming isnt the same you will have to create a mapping file for what tracks will transfer to which tracks. The rigs have to be the same, different size can be worked with but not different orientations. In the Load Animation tool there is also a retargeting tool that will allow scaling of the animation from one rig to another.
