Group Nodes to Folder & Layers

Hello,

When importing complex assembly data imported as a STEP file exported from Creo, the assembly structure is maintained in group nodes, which is great, but what I would like to do is change the group node structure to a folder and layer structure so I can better manage the data in other workflows.

I can't find a way to do this automatically yet, I am exploring other ways of exporting Creo data to import with folder / layer structure but have not come across anything yet that works. If you have any information to get complex package assembly data into Alias as folders and layers I would love to hear about it.
