Triplanar materials problem

Does anyone know why a triplanar material creates a bad intersection of the texture when a surface starts to curve?

How can I avoid this problem?

I attach an image.

Thank you

Hi,

the Triplanar Material blends the textures of each side based on the normal of the surface. If we wouldn´t do this you would get pretty ugly seams. Usually this works very good and hides the blending between the different texture projections. However, if you have a very strong pattern and a very large region where the blending occurs it will be visible. There is no solution for this, the only thing you could try is rotating the geometry by a specific amount, flush the rotation and rotate it back. Or you can try orienting the pattern by rotating the individual sides of the texture projection.

If all this doesn´t help you can only revert to creating UV coordinates and use a standard plastic material.

Kind regards

Michael
