I've switched laptops and am having an issue on my new one that I can't figure out. The transforms are behaving inproperly. When I shift-drag a single axis, the results are incorrect. I've tried this several times on different primitives. This is what happens:
translate:
x controls z
y controls x
z controls x
rotate:
x controls x (correct)
y controls x
z controls y
scale:
x controls x (correct)
y controls x
z controls z (correct)
In the Transform window, numeric entries/ rolling the button are sometimes correct, sometimes incorrect.
Is there a button to turn off Opposite Day?!
In case anyone else runs into this, it is a graphics problem related to automatic updates. We were having this problem on one Dell laptop and a black dome issue on another. There was a handful of steps that needed to be done (someone else did this, so I can't tell you what, exactly), but since we turned all updates to manual, the problem has been resolved. Surely someone else is running into this???
