Rendering a clipping countour in RT

Hi all,

I'm trying to render a clipped geometry in RealTrace-Mode, but in the rendered image this countour doesn't show up. I've been able to clone the countour and render it in OGL, but that is not exactly what I want.

Can anybody help me out on this?

Thanks!

Hi,

to make the clipping contour visible during Still Frame Antialiasing in Raytracing, activate "Preferences > Render Options > Visualisation > Show Auxiliary Nodes during antialiasing". This will keep all auxiliary visualizations like clipping or manipulators visible during AA. But they won't be visible when rendering offline.

Do you want to render only the clipping contour or the contour and the clipped geometry? In Raytracing, line geometries are rendered as tubes, so you can also render a cloned contour in raytracing; control the thickness of the line with the Line Tube Radius (in the material raytracing settings).

Regards

Sinje
