Paint Stripes (ie Road and Parking Lot)

Does anyone have any great ideas for paint stripes? I searched the group and
didn't see anything jump out at me.

Currently I am trying polysolids, but I can't seem to get them to jump out
on top of my terrain surface (Civil 3D). It's tricky to get them at the
right elevation.

I'm open to any suggestions.

Thanks!

It's pretty clunky, and a bit rough, maybe...

but just having vanilla autocad, I've copied the whole pavement object up a quart inch or something convenient... then extrude the 2D striping I have in plan, to an extreme amount like 100'... then just slide the striping extrusion to a location that ensures complete penetration through the copied pavement object...

"intersect" the two objects, and what is left should be a pavement copy 1/4" higher than the original, that has been cut to be the proper striping shape... may require multiple operations depending on how your striping is.

After that, subtract the original 'pavement' from the new markings-pavement.... and you're left with only that 1/4" thickness.

That may be obtuse but it gets the job done... I haven't bothered to refine my process for that because it's so rare i have to do it.
