using blocks (frames) to print pages from modelspace

Hi

We use to have a 3rd [party plug-in which allowed users to insert a block (frame) in model space when plotting the blocks would automatically be selected and printed in the order they were inserted.

Dose anybody have suggestions on how they did this. I’m trying to mimic the function.

is it really that important to print the blocks in order they were inserted? is there an identifier which comes first? is it just one block you're  talking about here? you can always arranged the print afterwards when you're done printing. unless we're talking about several hundreds.

You can create a reactor for insert command that records each entry and saves it on a dictionary entry. and when the time comes that you need to print, you access the dictionary with the insertion/blockname  data.

Is the "block/frame", a simple block, a block with attributes, ou a dynamic block?
