Something I've wondered and finally just decided to try; haven't found it posted so thought I'd share...
Ever noticed how much quicker table operations are wrapped with RegenerateTableSuppressed, but how it still crawls through an undo of it? Figured it was a long shot but this seems to have the intended effect (make it much quicker) both ways:
(vla-put-RegenerateTableSuppressed obj :vlax-False)
(vla-put-RegenerateTableSuppressed obj :vlax-True)
;; Do stuff here
(vla-put-RegenerateTableSuppressed obj :vlax-True)
(vla-put-RegenerateTableSuppressed obj :vlax-False)
If there is some nasty side-effect, I haven't seen it yet since I've just now tried it, but on initial trial it seems to work great. Enjoy!
