Subtract problem

Does anyone know if REGION has any properties that when trying to make a
SUBTRACTION AutoCAD makes a UNION instead.

I attached the example and when I subtract to blue object the red ones, the
result is the grey !!!
It does it in releases 07, 08 and 09

Any Idea how to test this, becouse doing it automatically I'm not watching
it and the result is wrong
I have a lot of regions that are subtracted automatically with a LISP routin
and I can not trust on it

Thanks in advance

If it works OK in 2010 (I do not have It) I must think is an AutoCAD hole
for previous versions?

2010 seems to solve the old boundary problem too
but because of the update politics....
