Hi all.
We've just had 2009 installed and one of our drafters has put forward a very good question.
When you run the DISTANCE command in PS, and measure a distance using snaps of an object drawn in MS viewed thro a vport, the value returned is that of the MS distance, even tho the measurement has been taken in PS.
Can this measured value be used to create a PS dimension, with the dim value that of the MS distance, rather than the PS dimension value? Or is this already an option somewhere in Acd2008/2009?
So here's the thing we're trying to do:
If I have two different scaled vports, I can run DIMLINEAR in PS to create dimensions of the objects that are being viewed thro the vports, without making any adjustments to the dimension variables (ie, something of the DIMLFAC scales gets changed automatically).
Does this make sense?
Cheers,
HOLLY
