orthographic projects in model space

I would like to be able to make orthographic views of a 3d solid and have
the projections all land on one plane in model space.

Currently I go through solview, soldraw then rotate the resulting views and
then put them all on one plane. It's tedious. Plus I end up with tons of
layers that are not needed which I have to purge. All I need are three
layers: VIS, DIM and HID.

What would be great is just pick the solid and have the projections all be
made and put onto a plane.

I tried "make2dlight" which I got at Catalog but that didn't work with
AutoCAD2002. I could use MDT but I don't need the parametrics; my solids
are dumb and that's fine.

Any suggestions?

Richard,

Have you tried createhlr or aeccreatehlr together with view?

Of course (no hidden lines - hence the hlr part)

Its relatively easy to create a program to throw the hlr views
created by that command in alignment for the basic
orthographic views.

But once you set up a template drawing with the solview
viewports, you can plop any 3dsolid into the model space
and then use soldraw in paper space. The layers are
great because they are viewport specific and with locked
viewports you should have no problems doing the rest
of the work in paper space.

Regards,
Doug
