Mtext and Symbols

Mtext has a button in both Ribbon and 'old' toolbar to insert symbols like degrees etc. With the toolbar method, you can add your own symbols by editing the registry:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R18.1\ACAD-9001:409\MTEXT\Symbols]
"Name 2"="Square meter"
"Contents 2"="m²"
Works OK with the old toolbar, but the additions don't show up in the ribbon? The button in the Ribbon point to 'AcIPESymbolMenu'. So I searched all files in the AutoCAD 2011 folder for this text, but this returns no hits.

Anybody know a way to add own texts to the SymbolMenu?
