gonna kill myself because I know for a fact that I know this and I'm going to
feel stupid when I get reminded.
I am reloading my menu file onto a new machine and all of my custom buttons
are comming up smilly faces.
I'm pretty sure that it's got to do with proceedures but I can't remember
what it is for the life of me, and my library seems like it's written in
another language this morning.

used to have this problem when customizing on a diifernt computer until I
realized that is caused by the fact that Autocad generates random numbers it
assigns as icon names when you use the built in customization feature. It
apparently looks for existing numbers, and then assigns a unique one. Problem
is, it can't know & then look on a diff. machine, obviously, so it can
& does end up sometimes assigning a number that, on a differnt hard drive,
it will not find a matching icon to, and will then asiign the default smiley.
I therefore give my custom icons meaningful, descriptive names & make sure
the menu file looks those up.
