Lisp to insert area of pattern in two point decimal square feet.

Hi,

I am looking for help with making a lisp program where i can click on a shape in my drawing and it will take the area and calculate the square feet and i can place text on the shape.  For example if a shapes area is 145.6889, i would have to divide it by 144 and manually type in the 1.01' on the shape.  The lisp program needs to be able to be able to round to the nearest two place decimal.  So if the calculation was 1.015 then it would need to place the text as 1.02'.  Also it would be helpful to be able to set the text size, i generally set it to .500, and it would use the global text style that i have autocad set to.  Thanks in advance with any help in creating this lisp program.

Try this routine as a starting point, which you can edit for imperial units and probably to convert to square feet, and/or do a Search on these Forums, where you may well find something that does what you want, or comes close.

You can try this free AOL.lsp app I wrote which is on the Exchange:
