how to insert exploded block -> extrim -> plot -> erase inserted?

i have problem with this....



1. I need to insert exploded block into drawing...

2. Then using cookie cutter leave only part of this exploded block...

3. Then do something with drawing and then erase what is left from step 2





Problem is that selection set will be lost when I explode block...



How to select leftovers from firstly inserted exploded block...??

Insert the block. (unexploded)

Explode the block. (use "L" to select).

(setq ss (ssget "P")) ;to get all entities from explode.
