There are normal shx fonts, big fonts and unicode shx fonts.

Shx unicode fonts with its extended data set are capable to support all languages and platforms.

First line in font file is human readable and and it stands either: AutoCAD-86 shapes 1.1, AutoCAD-86 bigfont 1.0 or AutoCAD-86 unifont 1.0.

How will you separate these fonts is upon you. Either create a lisp file or do it by hand.

Why would you not go down the TTF path just so many more out there like thousands. You can make your own just don't ask me how, looked into it and it got hard.
