Thanks. I was hoping to test whether the hatch was associative without
boundary to prevent an error.
I have several means to recreate the boundary, one of which is hatchedit.

You can use the HATCHEDIT command, select the hatch, click on the Recreate
Boundary boundary and this time associate the Polyline to the hatch.
