Field Population with macro

Hi everyone, there is a problem I'm having with automatically updating a zone table.

I have a block with attributes in paper space.  I also have vba macros that populate those attributes with the area of closed polylines on certain layers in model space.

Is there a way replace those attributes with fields that run the vba macros I have written, so that they update on regen?

I have tried many variations of the following with no avail:

How about adding a reactor to your vba code that waits for the regen command, and then updates the fields?
