Express tool EXPLODE MTEXT outputs to LAYER 0

In AutoCAD2000 the express tool "Explode MTEXT" places all the
output to layer 0.

How could I get Lisp to Explode the MTEXT output the exploded polylines
into the very Layer from which the MTEXT entity originally resided?
(Polylines do not explode from the layer they originally reside
into new lines/arcs in Layer "0".)

Bruce,

I think you mean "Explode Text". The express tool is (c:txtexp).
For your own use, I believe the Express Tools authors would not mind
if you modified TXTEXP.LSP in the express folder to add those features.
(changed version must not be sold or given away to others)
Hope that helps. You may also wish to post this in the Express Tools newsgroup.
