diesel and xref

is there anyway to have a disel expression, the filename in an xref and not have it changed when xref into another drawing, everytime i try it, the expression in the xref changes to the drawing its referenced into. thanks

so sounds like you are using Rtext or fields.
I would say no, you have to "hardcode" the text to the filename, do not make it reactive with diesel.

Here is what I have been using for ten years:
Automatically updates with my redefined save command. (updates text on that
layer)

Directory: F:\Jobs\2003\031226\acad\ File: A2-01b.dwg Date: March 05, 2005
4:14 p.m. Scale: 1=96 By: CAD_5 Xref's: ("2436TB" "BL-01" "SEAL"
"UTB21032" "UTC21190")
