Determining the insertion point of a drawing file

How do you know where the insertion point is in a drawing that you're in? I'm altering some WBLOCKS and I'd like to know where the insertion point is when I'm in the block. How can I do that?

Yes, but I would make sure that it is set to
0,0,0.

Why?  I have quite a library of blocks, and
the insertion point is really block dependent.

Thanks the INSBASE was it, I've got a variety of blocks where the insbase is not 0,0,0. I don't see a need to move the block and change the INSBASE to 0,0,0. If it inserts fine the way it is. Just my 2 cents. Thanks

BTW does anyone know how insbase gets changed? Sometimes I find that one of
the drawings in a set of XREF overlays is out of place and I'm sure nobody
here has changed INSBASE knowingly.

Using the BASE command in the source xref drawing will
change this. I've see this get changed when people want to
adjust hatch pattern insertion, etc. Also, if they've
changed the 0,0 point in the source drawing the xref won't
be positioned correctly.
