Deter

I got this in my email. It is a great routine. I had one like it. My question is this. I have an "UNLOCKIT" routine that will undeter or unlock it. Should I post it? Gary New Free Functions/Tools ===================================================================== Drawing Modification Deterrent This free tool creates an anonymous minsert of a selection set of geometry. This is a strong deterrent to prevent changes (by others) to the drawing because it can't be exploded or refedited. Be careful to use only on a *copy* of your drawing you intend to to send to others! Minsert and annonymous block protection is very simple to break... -- http://www.draftteam.com "Gary Fowler" wrote in message news:42120470_2@newsprd01... > I got this in my email. Which is exactly why it is just a deterrent. If someone wants to, they can still access your drawing, but it takes some knowledge and a little effort. It's not that it can't be hacked, it's just a pain in the @$$ to do it. I have something similar that changes everything to layer 0, (maintains color and linetype), and also makes a minserted anonymous block. Yep... In basically all the cases.... just DXFOUT, edit the dxf file, find the header: AcDbMInsertBlock and change it to: AcDbBlockReference double-click on the dxf file or use DXFIN, explode the block.... and that's all. -- http://www.draftteam.com Casey Roberts" > Which is exactly why it is just a deterrent.
