converting large amounts of AutoCAD 2012 dwgs to AutoCAD 2004 dwgs

Hi,

 

Anyone know how to convert a large amount of AutoCAD 2012 dwgs to AutoCAD 2004?

 

Is there a script file that can be made or does anyone already have one?

 

Appreciate any help!

TrueView.  I think 2012 has a DWGCONVERT batch module built in or available as a Subscription Advantage Pack too.

QA/QC CAVEAT -- if you do not look at the files in 2004, expect problems with the appearance.  Lot's of stuff in 2012 does not have equivalents in 2004, so the 'best guess' conversion from 2012 to 2004 will have issues.  Mtext in particular exists in both versions, but the capabilities in 2012 are significantly different fro 2004.  Columns for example....
