Adding the dimension dropdown to new toolbar

Is there a way to add the dimension dropdown list to a custom toolbar? Or is there any way to copy the dimension toolbar and then delete the buttons that are not wanted from the copy? So much screen space could be saved, but I am hesitant to mess with the standard toolbars and would feel much safer working with a copy or customized toolbar.

TIA

Karen

You can open up your ACAD.MNU file and just cut and
paste the toolbar definitions to want to make a copy of into a MNU file of your
own.  Then you'd have a copy to do with as you please.

Remember, though, that any changes you make in the
drawing editor to the toolbars are only changed in the MNS files, not the MNU
files--so the original setup is always maintained.  If you ever wanted to
disgard the changes you've made, you can just reload the ACAD.MNU
file.

Drop down menu - VIEW - TOOLBARS - CUSTOMIZE- Toolbars -
New - This creates a new toolbar you can name whatever.
Newly named toolbar appears on screen. Click on COMMANDS -
and then Dimension. A list of commands with icons
appears showingall the dimension commands. Left click
on the commands you want to use and drag onto your new toolbar which can be placed or docked where you wish. The
standard dimension toolbar can be closed by deselecting the tick for the tool standard dimension toolbar. Good luck

Clark,

I have explored making a new toolbar, but I want to add the list of dimension styles that drops down so that if a dimension is selected, you can select a different style from the dropdown and it will change the selected dimension to that style. This is not an available command through the standard toolbar making process. Can I make an .mnu that only has the customized toolbar definition?

TIA,

Karen

Karen Not sure if this is what you want but here goes.
Drop down menu - VIEW - TOOLBARS - CUSTOMIZE- Toolbars - New - This creates a new toolbar you can name whatever. Newly named toolbar appears on screen. Click on COMMANDS - and then User Defined - and drag User Defined Flyout button onto screen or place on other existing Toolbar. Right click on newly created flyout and click o.k. to message appearing. Select your newly created toolbar with the dimension commands you need - click apply then close. The new flyout will now be associated with the Toolbar . The standard dimension toolbar can be closed by deselecting the tick for the tool standard dimension toolbar. Remember your flyout will need to be docked at the top of the screen to drop down. Hope this helps

Karen. My secondlast sentence should have read "Your newly created dimension toolbar can be closed by deselecting the tick for it.
Good Luck
Clark
