Removing Unreferenced files programatically

Hello all,

I have many parcel maps that have had
non-georeferenced tif files inserted for reference and then, when work is
complete, the tifs were deleted. The only downside is that there is a
Unreferenced entry in the file references that I have not been able to locate to
remove via VBA. See the attached jpg for what I'm talking about.

Is there a method by which I can remove residual
file references from a drawing? I'd prefer to not distribute files with
intermediate work products still referenced but not attached.

Thanks in Advance

Tom

Not quite.

I didn't add the xref/image, I am attempting to
delete images that were only partially removed by others. The unreferenced
status does not show up in either the thisdrawing.blocks or
thisdrawing.modelspace collections.

To replicate my test case, open a new drawing.
Insert a tif file via Insert->Raster Image reference (my map3d menu is set to
map classic). Erase said tif file via the delete button but select 'No' when
asked if you would like to detach the image. Where are the Unreferenced entities
hiding is what I'm trying to figure out.

I know this method doesn't take in a bunch of
functions/workflow enhancements but a lot of our work is still done by people on
R14 and they get confused querrying in stuff or working with ribbons and such.
Most of us are still right hand on the rodent, left on the kb types. Basic
drafting doesn't require a ton of fancy interface interferance but I'll get off
my soapbox.
