Forum Point of Order

Please accept the fact that some people who use these forms are not or will not be migrating forward to the 2011 version.

Specifically, there are two forums for VB programming this one and the .Net forum.  If a member posts a request in this form indicating the version of CAD related to their question ... Please DO NOT suggest that they are wasting their time programming in an old, unsupported language.  They know this, but as long as they are posting to the old language support forum (this forum) they obviously don't care about a .NET or 64 bit solution ... they need a solution to their question.

Would they prefer to be working in .NET? Perhaps  Would they like to be bleeding edge tech savvy?  Maybe.

Do they have the option to do so?  Um-mm perhaps not given the organizational budget, politics, engineering design capabilities, MIS or IT support staff, etc.

Are they aware that VBA will possibly not be supported in the future?  Yes, most are aware and we'll cross that bridge when we get there!

So please stop wasting our time having to read your remarks insinuating we're wasting ours ... it accomplishes nothing but frustrated members.

Hi,

I have to disagree.

While in a perfect world you would be correct, in reality many posters here do not have the knowledge which you imply they all have.
