Its a problem with your mouse driver. For example, I had Intellimouse 5+ and
I went back to 4.1 and it works again. Some others had similar solutions.
Some found third party apps that fix the problem. Search this ng for more
information.

Search for the utility "FreeWheel" on Google. It's free and enables what you
want.

I am a little skittish of loading stuff too liberally...
I found Freewheel...
I installed the latest driver from microsoft... 5.50.661.0
I fixed an issue in one of my applications that I was struggling with for quit sometime...
But I still can't get scrolling in AutoCAD VBA...
I have wheel zooming and press and hold wheel for panning in AutoCAD... is it safe to install this Freewheel software with 2000 professional and the mouse driver 5.50.661.0

THANK YOU! -- I've been just dealing with using the scroll bar along the side of all my VBA code windows for years... much better now.

Check out my other reply. As I noted, "latest" is not always "greatest". Not
all driver "problems" are solved by the latest driver. Scrolling only works
with 4.1. MS broke it. I havn't tried Freewheel, but if you want you use ver
5 of Intellimouse, you'll have to use Freewheel.

I've been using FreeWheel for a few years on a number of different OS's &
mice and haven't had even 1 problem with it.
