We are looking for a way to automatically sync certain folders in Vault to the Local Workspace.
We are attempting to create templates that live in Vault, but right now there is no way that i can find to automatically push certain folders to local machines. This forces all users to "Get" the templates folder, every time there is a change to the template, or a new template is added.
Workspace sync wants to delete the files, as I do not have them checked out. I am also looking for an automatic way to do this for all users, without them having to go into the client and get them manually.
Our "Vault Mirror Plus" utility can do this and is entirely free for anyone on Vault Pro 2016.
We specifically built this tool because we had customers with the exact problem you state - maintaining up-to-date local copy of templates. Unfortunately Workspace Sync was not the answer because it will not pull down any new files, it will only update the ones you already have locally, therefore, we built our own utility.
