"Hot" Change Order visual identification

"Hot" Change Order visual identification

I'm sure others have Change Orders that may need to be expedited more quickly than others. Sometimes we run into issues with "hot" Change Orders not being approved in a timely manner because there isn't really a feature in place to identifiy Change Orders that may have a more higher priority than others.

It would be nice if we could have a button we can select upon create or modifying a Change Order that would enable a visual indicator or something to let the approvers know this perticular Change Order is of high priority.

Something like this....

This is perhaps how it could look when viewing the Change Order among other "normally important" Change Orders...

Is the due date not enough of an indication?

Not really IMHO because the due date can't be altered one the Change Order is created, atleast for us it's not possible. Even then it's a field that can be hidden and also assumes everyone that reads the Change Order pays attention to the due date. For our company the due date field means very little since we may create a Change Order but it may be in work State for months. We would like something more visual to identify Change Orders that have a higher priority than others.

I just got off a support call with a user requesting this exact functionality. Honestly I was surprised that this feature isn't already included in the software.

Yes of course the due date is an indicator of "priority" but you may have multiple ECO's due at or around the same time and one or more might be more critical than others so it would be nice to have an obvious visual indicator that a particular ECO is  "hot".
