Why is it you can import .xlsx and .csv files in certain Autodesk programs, but in Vault you cannot export out in these formats.

Well, these formats should be incorporated into the available export choices.

See the following thread.

If you refresh in a search folder, the previous selected object isn't selected anymore. You have to search it again, which costs you time.

If you refresh in a normal folder, it saves the selection.

after refreshing: there's no object selected

Please, add an ability to use several Vault license types at one server. For example, using combination of Vault Collaboration and Vault Professional.

Because not all users need the top functionality, but read-only from web-client is not enough for them - so why pay more? Customers really need this feature.

One of discussions: at Vault forum.

MS Reporting Services support

Status: Accepted
by Contributor dmiller on ‎04-05-2014 09:05 PM

My understanding is that Vault currently uses a client local version of MS Reporting Services to render reports in the Vault client.  I would like to see support for the server version of Reporting services.  This way I could write companywide dashboard reports.  I would also be able to link Vault data to ERP system data.  We should have a way to use Vault API calls when developing SSRS reports.  If there is currently a way to do this I would like to know.

Allow Vault installation/configuration to connect to an Instance not named AUTODESKVAULT

We have several separate vault servers (Professional) all connected to remate databases on an SQL cluster. The SQL people claim that they can only have one single instance called AUTODESKVAULT in their complete environment AND that instance names MUST follow their naming conventions

Actually, vault is the only software that I know of that requires a specific instance name

Why not to create formulas for UDP's? Even very-very simple just for text processing and calculation on-request.

Guys, Vault's running on SQL - como Dios manda...

MiWaNiZa, Can you provide some examples of formulas you would need and what you would use them for?

It would be useful to be able to backup\restore with out the filestore.

A commandline swithc would be useful to exclude the filestore from the backup if you just want to either validate your databases by restoring them to a test\dummy machine.

For sending the backup to support

For testing the migration to a new release

Then the ability to attach the filestore later.

Enhance Export Configuration

There should be a relatively simple option in ADMS to truncate data from the vault, or to backup just the configuration.

Doing an implementation at a publicly traded company means going to a multi-stage process (dev, test, UAT, Prod) with multiple vault environments to verify the configuration before go-live.  It would be very convenient to be able to either remove all of the files from the vault to provide a clean starting point for a new environment.

Alternately, the option to backup JUST the configuration would be a huge help as well.

establish a system, where known issue go directly to the customer (especially platinum users)

e.g. WorkgroupReplication.xml issues and things where we can easily improve our system like web.config tweaks.
