For project workflows it's necessary to define separate life cycle states for folders/projects
Example:
first state: "offer"
second state: "order"
third state: "for checking"
fourth state: "released"
Customers often wand to have separate security definition for separate folder life cycle states. For example the user-group "Designers" are not allowed to read a folder when it is in the state "offer". Only other groups can read. So the user group "Designers" is not able to SEE the folders with the state "offer"! The folder is containing some files-for example the file "test.ipt"!
---------------------------------
But now the problem:
---------------------------------
If a user of the usergroup "Designers" opens the vault-search and is searching for the file "test.ipt" he can find the file and is able to open, change, delete the file! This is not the idea behind the folder life cycle state i think!
I hope Autodesk can correct this bug with a service pack in the near future!
