when checking out file links from a project folder, the files are checked out to the folder in which the file lives, and not the project folder. this makes sense as the check out is performed on the file-- not the link.
when using the open icon on the vault ribbon in autocad, a user may navigate to the project folder and use the link to open a file.
as of now, users can check in from autocad by either: opening each file and performing check in file or by using check in folder.
using check in file can take quite a bit of time on projects with several drawings while using check in folder can be difficult to manage files when working on several concurrent projects.
when not checking in all folder contents, the option to close file and delete working copies is disabled.
it would be convenient to be able to use links in order to check in from the project folder with the option to close files and delete working copies.
