Xref Man. Broke in 2006

The Xref manager in AutoCAD 2006 is broke after installing vault. I no
longer have the option to toggle an Xref between "attached" and "overlay".
Is ther a fix for this (other than detach and re-attach)?

It's also difficult to update a saved path if the Xref is found in a
different location. Simply browsing to the file in it's "found" location and
selecting the file updates the saved path on ACAD 2007, but not in 2006. I
have to de-tach and re-attach again.

Not as big an issue in vaulted files, but we're just getting vault
implemented and still have a lot of users that will be working the old
fashioned way for a while.

Hi Mike,

The users can invoke the Classic Xref Manager in AutoCAD 2006 installed with
Vault by typing '.xref' at the AutoCAD 2006 command line. This should allow
the users to continue to work productive using the previous Xref Manager
while getting used to the new Xref Manager. In AutoCAD 2007 and onward, the
command to invoke the Classic Xref Manager is 'classicxref'.

Hi Mike,

In the lower half part of the new (not classic one) xref manager, there is
a field 'Type' for you 'to toggle between 'attached' and 'overlay', and
another field 'Found At for you to update xref to a new location. I think
these are the same functionalities as those with the classic xref manager.
Click corresponding field for your editing.

if you choose to update the xref attachment type and found at path with the
classic xref manager, after doing your edit and closing it, in the new xref
manager, you just need to click the refresh button on the new xref manager,
then the newly updated information will be reflected there.

Hope this help,
Catherine
